En el idioma inglés, el artículo determinado (the) tiene la particularidad de remplazar 4 de los artículos que comunmente ocupas en español: el, la, los, las.
Por ejemplo:
The dog / el perro The dogss / los perros
The bed / la cama The beds / las camas
The glass, the flower, the books and the apples / El vaso, la flor, los libros y las manzanas
Como utilizar los artículos determinados
El artículo determinado en inglés designa a una persona o cosa concreta. En ese sentido, la importancia del artículo es fundamental, pues de su presencia depende el conocimiento del interlocutor del objeto o persona de la que estamos hablando y generalmente se omiten estos artículos cuando nos estamos refiriendo a uina persona en concreto, paises o territorios, lugares públicos como un hospital, con los meses estaciones del año, delante de colores o sustancias, cuando hablamos de oficios, juegos, etc tampoco debemos utilizar el artículo indeterminado.
